Larry, 76, died at 1:55 p.m. Sept.. 5, 2009, at his home on Grand Lake.

He was a son to Charles E. and Naomi (Hughes) Dine. On May 17, 1956, he married Leila Huber, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Charlie (Suzanne), St. Marys; eight daughters, Maggie (Peter) Dine-Jergens, Cincinnati, Lori (Dan) Burke and Carla (Greg) Dine-Eaglowski, all St. Marys, Dr. Cecilia (Dr. Ken) Jacobs, Beavercreek, Angela (Chuck) Molaskey, New Bremen, Dr. Katie (Dr. Skip) Dine Young, Hanover, IN, Amanda (Jim) Gamble, Dublin, and Stacia (Scott) Dine-Axe, Celina; and nineteen grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, Frank William Dine, a brother, William "Bill"; and three sisters, Mary Jo Dine, Betty Jean Dine and Virginia "Gussie" Snethkamp.

He worked for over 60 years at the St. Marys foundry originally started by his grandfather and relatives. In 1984, he and 32 freinds and fellow employees founded St. Marys Foundry, Inc., where he served as president and CEO for most of his career and later as chairman of the board. He was on the board of directors for the Minster Machine Company for many years, served as president of the St. Marys Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, St. Marys, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, Oriental Order of Groundhogs, St. Marys Outing Club (Idlewild), and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, where he served as Mass server, CCD teacher, president of the finance committee, member of the choir, and as president of the PTO at Holy Rosary School. He was a scout master for the local Boy Scout troop and a member of Friends of Scouting and the Band Parents, St. Marys. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1950 and attended St. Joseph's College Rensselaer, IN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as second class petty officer and plane captain of an A.D. Skyraider during the Korean War. He completed tours of duty on both the U.S.S. WASP and U.S.S. Coral Sea aircraft carriers.

Funeral Mass is at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Tony Cutcher officiating.
