Mr. Martin was born Aug. 1, 1888 in Bowling Township, a son of John S. and Elizabeth Weiss Martin. He lived his entire life in the Bowling Township area, where he farmed.
He married Frances Mae Liphardt March 10, 1915.
Mr. Martin was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church and a past member of the former Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Earl W. of Milan; three grandchildren; a great-grandson, and a brother, Wilbur P. Martin of Bowling Township. He was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother and two sisters.
