After a hard struggle of several weeks, first with typhoid fever, afterwards with pneumonia, John Walz was finally taken from this earth yesterday morning. Death came very peacefully although it was a surprise to friends that the sufferer was dead as they believed him to be recovering. But in his weakened condition Mr. Walz was in bad shape to cope with pneumonia and finally the life went out. A wife and children, besides friends and other relatives, grieve for the departed. John Walz was a fine young man with few enemies, if any. His residence in Clay county has been marked with industry and thrift, always happy and contented with his lot. The sorrowing wife and children have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in the loss of the husband and father. Arrangements for the funeral services are not complete as we go to press, but will probably be held Saturday.
