Graveside services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Columbia Cemetery, 30 E. Broadway.
Donald was born Sept. 10, 1966, in Columbia. He served in the Marine Corps from 1985 to 2006. Don was a damage appraiser for Sentry Insurance since 2006. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, watching sports and was a member of the Rock Island Conservation Club.
Donald is survived by his fiancee, Kristy Elgas, of Milan; two stepchildren, Garrett and Karsen of Milan; mother and stepfather, Sue and Robert Perkins of Columbia; grandmother, Cora Jones of Columbia; brothers, David Jones of Harrisburg and Robert Jones of Columbia; nieces and nephew Samantha, Hailey, Meredith and Jordan; several aunts and uncles; in-laws in heart, Ray and Glinda Docherty; Sherrard and Kristy's brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Jen Docherty and their son Jack.
