Nancy Ann Lyons was the daughter of Charles "Robert" Burleigh and Elizabeth Anne Miller. Nancy was first married on Aug. 22, 1808 to Robert Slaughter and they had a son name John Slaughter and then She was widowed.

She was married a second time on Jan. 2, 1821 in Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana to widower Gabriel Lyons, son of John Lyons and Nancy Eckart. They had the following children known children:
