Her mother died giving birth, and she was raised by grandparents, George and Rebecca Miller.


Cora Eliza Knoepke, daughter of Eliza and Frank Fallis, was born Feb. 17, 1891, at Reeve, Wis. She moved to Connorsville at the age of eight years with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller.
On May 26, 1907, she was united in marriage to Herman Knoepke. To this union eight children were born. They are Marie (Mrs. Irving Burns), and Emma (Mrs. Gerhard Johnson), both of Connorsville; Harris, St. Paul; Theodore, who died in infancy, Edgar, St. Paul; Glenn, Star Prairie; William, Roberts; and Hazel (Mrs. Rodney Brandt) of Okauchee, Wis. Besides her seven children, she is also survived by 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild, five brothers, two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Knoepke had been a resident of Connorsville for 57 years. She passed away suddenly at her home Tuesday evening, May 8, at the age of 65 years.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12, 1956, at the Connorsville Methodist Church, the Rev. J.W. Hansen officiating. Interment was in the New Haven cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Seaman, Emil Beyrer, Earl Schmidt, Joe Bjorkman, Chas. Whistler and Melvin Edmunds.
