"W. J. SEYMOUR DIES"
"Wilfred J. Seymour, 29, lifelong Biloxi resident, died at 3:30 p.m. yesterday of pneumonia. He went in swimming last Sunday afternoon and was taken ill that night, being removed to the Biloxi Hospital yesterday morning. In former years he was very active as a swimmer and won numerous awards in relay and individual swims. He was one of the organizers of a local swimming club and was prominent in its activities. As a youth he was employed by the Western Union as a messenger. He attended Sacred Heart Academy and Biloxi High School. He has been employed as a painter and was a member of the painters' union. He is survived by his wife, nee Bonnie Belle Byrd, a child Roy Havens, 6 1/2 months old; a brother, Roy; two sisters, Althea and Audrey, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Seymour of Biloxi. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. this afternoon from the home, 121 West Water Street, with services at the Church of the Nativity by Father Francis Quinn."
