The remains of Frank E. Wilder, who died in Coalinga, were brought to Hanford on the 8 o'clock train for burial. Funeral services under the auspices of Hanford Encampment, No. 68, I.O.O.F., took place at the Rice chapel and members of the Knights of Pythias and subordinate Odd Fellows attended.

The deceased came to his death through an accident which occurred at the lease of the American Petroleum Oil company. He was chief engineer of that company, and, while oiling a heavy pump his leg was caught and so badly crushed that amputation was necessary, and he died several days later from shock incident to the injuries. He was survived by a wife in Coalinga and relatives in the east.
He was 47 years old.

Frank was the son of Riley Wilder and Harriet Caldwell. On March 21, 1888, he married Mrs. Emma (Atkinson) Loomis. They had two children: Frank Edwin Wilder, Jr., born April 21, 1892, and Millicent Ethel Wilder, born February 20, 1898. In 1902, Frank deserted his family, leaving Emma to raise the two children by herself. By the 1910 Census, he was living in Fresno County, CA., with a new wife named Rosamond.

Emma died in Wisconsin in 1925, and is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Frank Edwin Jr. died in Wisconsin in 1940, and is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Millicent Ethel (Wilder) Fisher died 2-9-1987 in Orange Co., CA.
