Funeral services for Mr. Robert Earl Acy, age 86, of Coila, were held December 2, 2002 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Carroll County with Rev. Larry Edwards officiating. Burial was held at Mt. Oliver Cemetery with Williams & Lord Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Acy died November 29, 2002 at University Hospital in Jackson. Mr. Acy was a retired driver for JJ Ferguson Gravel Co. He was native and lifelong resident of Carroll County and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He also worked at Baldwin Piano and for Carroll County. He was a Gold Member Mason for 55 years.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Ola Dunn Acy of Coila; daughter, Judy Smith of Coila; sister, Dorothy Shelton of Kosciusko; two grandsons and one great-grandson.

Mr. Acy was preceded in death by his son, Robert Clinton Acy.

Pallbearers were Malone Dunn, Charlie Holeman, Frank Holeman, Jeff Dunn, Charles Mims, Mike Acy, Carroll "Boot" Ellis and Jim Locke.

Honorary Pallbearers were Fred dark, Dalton Alford, Percy Daves, Pete Cox and Dayton Shelton.
