James F. "Jim" Moore, age 69, of West Alexandria, OH, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 10, 2009 at the New Lebanon Care & Rehabilitation Center. Jim was born November 2, 1939 in Sabina, OH, a son of the late Walter & Alice (Rideout) Moore. He retired in 1998 after 30 years with the General Motors Truck & Bus Assembly Plant in Moraine. From 1958 - 1964, he proudly served in the US Army Reserve; was a member of American Legion Post 322 of West Alexandria; and lifetime member of the F.O.E. Post 2202 of Eaton. Spending time with family and friends brought him the greatest joy in life. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by granddaughter Amy Moore and brother Dennis Moore.

Survived by wife of 20 years DeAnna J. (Wolfe) Moore whom he married June 17, 1989: daughter Lucretia Miller & husband John of Xenia, OH; sons Jim Moore & wife Teresa of Eaton; Tim Moore & wife Brenda of Hamilton, OH; Marquis Moore of Eldorado, OH: step daughter Christi Back & husband Jeff of Camden, OH: 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter: sisters Wanda Baughn & husband Don of Xenia; Arletta Mayhon of Kettering, OH: brothers Warren Moore & wife Marilyn of TN; Paul Moore & wife Tammy of IN; and Wally Moore & wife Tammy of Kettering: and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Lowell T. Spencer presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The New Lebanon Care & Rehabilitation Center. Interment Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
