ALBRIGHT, FRED C. Captain
Medical Detachment, 353rd Infantry. For extraordinary heroism in action near Xammes, France, September 13, 1918. When the battalion on the left of his own met with such heavy fire, as it was attempting to take up its position, that it was forced to withdraw, leaving many wounded men behind, Captain Albright, with fearless disregard for his own safety, went to the adjoining area and under continued heavy artillery fire, cared for all the wounded who had been left there. Home address, Mrs. Anna C. Albright, wife, Garland, Kans.
