SOPHIA HENDERSON DIES AT KEELER
With the passing of Mrs. Sophia Henderson, Keeler church has lost one of its oldest members. She was also a charter member of the Women's Society, and she will be greatly missed, as she took an active part in the work until the time of her illness. She died at the home of her son, Percy, Sunday noon, after a brief illness.
Born in Keeler township in August, 1865, she was a daughter of Christian and Sophia Linsenmeyer. She was married September 7, 1890, to Charles Henderson, who passed away three years ago.
Deceased had spent her entire lifetime in this vicinity and she leaves a host of friends who will mourn her death.
Surviving are four children - Percy and Orville, of Hartford; Mrs. Jennie Ives, Benton Harbor, and Charles, Jr., of Paw Paw; also twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Bennett of Benton Harbor.
Funeral services were held in the Keeler Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Olive Knapp of Pullman, a former pastor of the church, officiated and burial was in the Keeler cemetery.
