The Rev. E. A. Syms of Livingston, master of Masons, conducted the Masonic rites at the church and the committal service. He was assisted by officers and member of the local Masonic Lodge.
A quartet, composed of Mrs. Emmett Cox, Mrs. John Vann, Mrs. L. E. Herndon and Mrs. James Johnston, sang, "Lead, Kindly Light" and "The Old Rugged Cross." They were accompanied by Mrs. Jack Musgrove who played the prelude and postlude.
Burial was in the Mayn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Montie McAfee of Deer Lodge, William Schaffarzick, Maurice Holmes, Julius Lehrkind, Gerald Edwards and Elmer Schye.
Mr. Allen died Monday at Galen after a short illness.
He was born Nov. 16, 1885, in Turner, Maine, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Allen. He came to Montana with his parents when he was 4 years of age and grew up in this vicinity. He attended the schools in White Sulphur Springs, being graduated from high school with the class of 1904. He married Norma Mayn, on Sept. 17, 1914.
Cyrus Allen became a carpenter and was in the construction business for many years. He homesteaded some land on Upper Newlan Creek which he sold some years ago. After that he made his home in White Sulphur Springs but spent the winters in California with his father.
Mr. Allen was a member of Diamond City Lodge, AF&AM.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Roland Allen; and one grandchild.
