Mary Louise Adams. 42, passed away December 9, 2008 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa.

She was born November 15, 1966 at Edina, Missouri to Charles F. and Margaret L. Egbert Adams.

She graduated from Wyaconda High with the class of 1985. She attended college in Kirksville, Missouri and was a member of the Gorin United Methodist Church.

Mary was a caregiver for many years, providing her clients with her caring kindness.

She enjoyed quilting and collecting teddy bears and other stuffed animals.

She is survived by her parents of Gorin, Missouri; a sister; Anna Marie Keegan of Overland, Missouri and three brothers: Alan E. Adams and his wife, Tammy, of Memphis, Missouri; Michael D. Adams and his wife, Sharon, of Raymore, Missouri and Charles W. Adams of Gorin, Missouri; four nieces and eight nephews: Katie Keegan, Kit Keegan and Nathaniel Keegan, all of Overland, Missouri; Joshua Adams and Karissa Adams, both of Memphis, Missouri; Shawn Adams, Raymore, Missouri; Bryan Adams, Winter Park, Florida; Shawn Webster, Kahoka, Missouri; Don McCutcheon, Wyaconda, Missouri; Scott Adams, Wyaconda, Missouri; Chris Adams, Hermann, Missouri and Brian Adams, Kahoka, Missouri. Other survivors include three aunts: Louella Gardner, Omaha, Nebraska; Betty Wagoner, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Lela Thomas, Earlville, Iowa and many cousins and friends and a very special friend, Julie Adams, who journeyed with Mary in their cancer struggle.

Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents: Earl and Marie Egbert and Elmer and Hallie Schupback; three uncles: Gene E. Egbert, Roy Adams, Jr. and John Thomas and one aunt, Marvelle Adams.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Memphis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Gorin Cemetery at Gorin, Missouri. Casket bearers were Johnny Erickson, Allan Hulet, John Austin, Robert Kraus, Rodney Thomas, Ronnie Boyer, Allen Fitzgerald and Rick Golbricht. Honorary bearers were Veronica Berry, Joni Tappe, Jean Saxton, Sherry McMillen, Deanna McKenzie and Georgia Erickson.

Memorials may be made to the Scotland County Cancer Fund and may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home, 378 South Market Street, Memphis, Missouri 63555.
