Delbert Lee Nichols, Jr. 63, of Snowflake passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009. He was born August 21, 1946 in Winslow, AZ to Delbert Lee and Florence June Reidhead Nichols. He is survived by his wife, Tink, his mother June, five sisters, Peggy (Wayne) Watkins, Aloma (Bob) Gardner, Pearlene (Gary) Griffin, Lorena (Jack) Pearce, Darlene (Jerry) Peck, eight children, Dee Nichols, Doug (Cyndee) Nichols, Tiffany (Charlie) Ballard, Heather (Matt) Johnson, Deana (Drew) Griffin, Kami Nichols, Adam (Celeste) Nichols, Jeremy (Kelly) Nichols, two step daughters, Hillary Bish, Jamie (Zach) Rogers, twenty-two grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

His father, Delbert Lee Nichols, Sr. and a daughter-in-law, Coleen Nichols, preceded him in death.

He was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many church callings. Del served a mission to the Central States and loved doing missionary work. He served in the Navy and was a dentist for 33 years. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Granting Del 's wishes, a private graveside service was held August 31, 2009 at the Snowflake, Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to Hospice Compassus and Palliative Care, 1789 W. Commerce Drive, Lakeside, AZ 85929, or to the Missionary Fund of the L.D.S. Church
