Robert L. Dingus - Cocoa - Robert L. Dingus, 93, of Cocoa, FL, and beloved husband of the late Hazel M. Adkins Dingus, entered into rest Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Robert was born in Coeburn, VA and moved to Brevard County in 1951. He retired as a mechanic from Warren Wooten Ford after 26 years of service, and he also served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. Survivors include six children, Margie True, Jimmie Dingus, Judith Allman, Thomas Dingus, Dell Smith, and Gloria McAllister, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and two brothers, James and Barney Dingus. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel, parents, Wesley and Tempy Dingus, two brothers, and three sisters. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 26th, 1:30 - 3 p.m., followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Brevard Memorial Park, US Hwy 1, Cocoa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wuesthoff Hospice, PO Box 565002, Rockledge, 32956.
