Funeral of Cranston Potter.
The funeral of the late Cranston Potter, whose death was reported in the Gazette of last evening, was held at the residence at No. 151 Lake street this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. W. E. Wright officiated. The deceased was born at Eagle Village, New York state, May 6, 1820. After attaining his manhood, he removed to Dryden and from there to Corning, where he resided until 1858, when he came to Elmira. He married Louise Mallory, daughter of the late John Mallory of Corning, who together with Hattie M. survive him and also Edward C. of New York city and John M. of Milwaukee. The pall bearers at the funeral were J. M. Tillman, A. D. Slosson, H.B. Jones and Lorenzo Howes. [Published in the "Elmira Daily Gazette and Free Press" December 15, 1893.]
