Shippey Services Slated Here
Mrs. Maudie Alice Shippey, 83, of 1206 Ferris Ave., Waxahachie, died Sunday at 1:05 a.m. at W.C. Tenery Community Hospital. She had lived in Waxahachie for 20 years.
Mrs. Shippey was born November 21., 1890, in Maypearl and had lived in Maypearl all of her life before moving to Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.M. Shippey in 1964.
Funeral services are slated for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boze-Mitchell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Herman Rice officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery at Maypearl.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bill Morris of Charlotte, N.C. and Mrs. Charles Walters of Dallas; two brothers, Royal Mabry of Petersburg and Russell Mabry of Center Point and several nieces and nephews.
