Autopsy: Worker electrocuted
Friday, July 25, 2008 Press-Register, Mobile, Alabama
Staff Report
Construction worker Joshua Adams of Robertsdale died from electrocution, Baldwin County Coroner Jim Small said Thursday, ending the mystery surrounding his death.
Adams, 33, was found Wednesday morning in a classroom at the new Robertsdale Elementary School, where he had been working alone on wiring. An autopsy revealed that Adams was electrocuted, Small said.
Construction workers have been hustling in recent weeks to finish the $25 million project before school begins Aug. 11, and Adams' fiancée — Cindy Hicks — said that Adams had been fatigued.
Adams, who was named Mr. Robertsdale High School in 1993, is survived by Hicks and his 3-month-old son, Joshua Brayden Adams, both of Robertsdale; his mother and stepfather, Peggy and Carl Phillips of Foley; a brother, Zachary Adams of Robertsdale; and his grandmother, Corinna White of Pearl River, La.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale with burial at the Galilee Primitive Baptist Church's cemetery in Stapleton. Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Joshua Adams Fund for Joshua Brayden Adams at any Regions Bank.
