MARKELL, Richard (Dick) - Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Thursday September 10, 2009. Richard Milton Markell of Brockville. Beloved husband of Evelyn Markell. Dear dad of Paul and his wife Debbie of Ottawa. Loving grandpa of Alicia, Kaitlin, Rebecca, Lisa, Christopher, Melissa and great grandpa of Isabella. Father-in-law of Jacob Hogervorst of Ottawa. Survived by 2 sisters Alice Wedgewood (Ron) of Ottawa and Gwen McMannus (Wayne) of Athens as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Joy Hogervorst, his parents Percy and Lucy (Norman) Markell, a sister Evelyn Chisholm and a brother Robert Markell. A Private family Service was held at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Friday September 11, 2009. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery, Maitland.
