Mrs. Evans died April 3, 2003 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was a member of Sidon baptist Church and resided in Sidon most of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Robert "Gene' Evans of Sidon; daughter, Mary Ann Tackett of Greenwood; sons, Edward McDonald, David Evans and Bobby Evans, all of Sidon; sisters, Mable Tedford of Sidon and Joyce Browning of Greenwood, six grandchildren
