LEIPSIC - Funeral services for Jack Ray Bohanon, 60, of 32 Hancock County Road 203, Leipsic, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev. Dan Singell officiating. Burial will be held in McComb Union Cemetery, with military graveside rites being conducted by Deshler American Legion Post 316.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bohanon died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 1996, of injuries he suffered in a traffic accident on Putnam County Road 2.
He was born Nov. 16, 1935, in Shoopman, Ky., to Claude and Pauline (Burrus) Bohanon. He married Ruth Karen Fisher and they were divorced. He then married Billie Fletcher Parsons on Feb. 5, 1977, and she survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Frank of Bloomdale, Joseph and Mark, both of Jamestown, N.Y., Jack Ray Jr., of Deweyville; Jeff of Brighton Colo., a daughter, Pauline Long, Jamestown, N.Y., two stepsons, Stanley Parsons, Forest; Billy Parsons, Findlay; five step daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Linda) Van Wagner, Van Buren; Mrs. John (Sandra) King, Nicholasville, KY., Debra Wtihers, Warsaw, IN., Mrs. Rex (Melissa) Fletcher, Findlay; 24 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, John of Elyria; James of Zanesville; David of Fostoria; a sister, June Clark, Elyria.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas R., Ted and Roger.
Mr. Bohanon retired as a millwright from Dow Chemical after 31 years of employment.
He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving from 1953-1957, and he was a member of Deshler American Legion Post 316. He also was a member of Fostoria Moose Lodge.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
