David Robert Hancock, 82, of Ravenswood passed away September 12, 2009, at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division.
He was retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of Akron, OH, with 38 years service. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and member of Coventry-Akron Lodge #83 F. and A.M. of Akron.
Surviving are sister Jeanne Dunn of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and his loving companion Tressie Metheney of Ravenswood.
He was preceded in death by 26 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Darius Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Coen Cemetery at Nebo with Masonic graveside rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services Tuesday.
