Sister of county residents dies
Mrs. Alvina P. Trafzer, 60, of Celina, O., sister of three Adams county residents, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Wert county hospital. She was a former resident of the Chattanooga, O., area.
She was born in Liberty township, O., on June 15, 1912, the daughter of Otto and Freda Schaadt-Fickert, and was married to Harry Trafzer on June 18, 1935. He died on July 31, 1969.
Surviving are one son, one daughter, three sisters, including Mrs. Delmas (Loretta) Bollenbacher of near Berne and Mrs. Donald (Doris) Gerber, Berne; five brothers, including Homer Fickert of Decatur, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Dick and Sons funeral home, Celina, with Rev. Jay Stratton officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill cemetery, Fort Recovery, O. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
