WINN, Stanley Val, Age 75, of Winston, Oregon, passed away on October 11, 2006. He was born October 6, 1931 in Elsinore, Seiver County, Utah, son of Lafell and Ethel Winn. [At the] young age of 17, he entered the U.S. Army where he served our country from 1951 [to] 1953, during the Korean War. In 1951 he married Anna Dee Johnson, and they had children together, Dana Val Will of Idaho; Valerie Dee Whitehead, of Nevada; Lana Winn of Oregon; Laurie Joan Richardson of New Mexico; and Anthony Glen Winn of ...son, Jeffery Keith Winn, his parents, a brother, and a granddaughter preceded Stanley in death. Mr. Winn and Anna Dee divorced in 1964.

In January of 1988, he married P…. She brought three sons into the family; Freddie, Rocky and Little Joe all of Colorado. […]been a resident of Winston for the past 20 years. Stanley has 17 grandchildren, 49 [great]grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren as well as a sister, Beth of Ceda… Utah; and two brothers, Paul of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Bob of Cedar City. Also surv…numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Stan was an excellent carpenter…work is known around Douglas County. He enjoyed fishing, sitting around a warm fi[re]. He will truly be missed by all and will never be gone from their hearts or thoughts. …remembers – If you ever needed anything, Stan was the man to ask, and he got it f… is a true friend who will be missed.

Alan Geyer and Laurie remember Stan as a grac[ious] honest man who would help his friends and family any way he could. He would get…and a twinkle in his eyes whenever a loved one stoped by. Stanley was like a se[cond]…us and will always be loved and truly missed. Patsy, Stan's wife says he was ha…her listener, her gopher, her friend and her love, rest in peace honey. Dana, Valerie Anthony and Laurie remember his generous companionship, sense of humor, his be…smile and his lover for all of us. "We love you dad, you will always be close."

Friends [and] family are invited to a graveside service to celebrate a life remembered at 1:00 pm, October 17, 2006 at the Roseburg VA National Cemetery. The Veterans of Foreign [Wars] District Twelve Honor Guard, will offer military rites. Friends may also pay their r[espects] Monday, October 16, 2006 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Taylor's Family Chapel.
