ROCK HILL - Mrs. Edith Pauline "Snook" Simpson Little, 86, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Visitation will be from 1. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, 346 East Rebound Road, Lancaster and other times at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Ricky Cope officiating. Burial will be at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Waxhaw, N.C.

Born in Midland, N.C., Mrs. Little was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Mae Adkins Simpson. She was a former employee of Springs Industries Fort Mill Plant, where she was a member of its 25-Year Club. She later retired from J.P. Stevens Indian Land Service Center. Mrs. Little attended Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, Larry Pressley and his wife, Carolyn, of Hemby Bridge, N.C., Dennis Little and his wife, Cathy, and Bobby Little and his wife, Brenda, all of Indian Land; three daughters, Betty Cooney and her husband, Mike, of Rock Hill, Helen Pressley and her husband, Kenny, of Lancaster and Phyllis Melton and her husband, the late Huey, of Indian Land; her brother, Robert Norman and his wife, Brenda, of Clover; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Little.
