Elsie Ruth Hostetter was born February 25, 1894, near Yukon, Oklahoma, and died October 15, 1948. She was the daughter of Stephen A. and Mary Elizabeth Hostetter who came to Oklahoma in the early days of the Run, making their home near Yukon.

She married Orville A. Tomlinson on February 19, 1913, and lived near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, until 1914, when they moved to Spearman, Texas, living there until 1929, when they returned to Oklahoma, near Yukon. They had 4 girls and 2 boys who mourn the loss of their mother; Mrs. Leona Ring of Bakersfield, California, Mrs, Elsie Fern Plumlee of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Mrs. Emly Shay of Hominy, Oklahoma, and Miss Etta Fay Tomlinson, who lives with her parents. The boys are: Bill of Boise City and Leroy. Mrs. Tomlinson had 2 brothers and 1 sister who have preceded her in death; Mrs. Milligan of Tuttle who passed away 2 years ago was her sister.

Funeral services were held Sunday in the First Christian church for Mrs Orville A. Tomlinson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, former Tuttle resident, who passed away Friday, October 15, 1948.

Rev. John Lomax was in charge of services. Pallbearers were Doris Cobble, Tommy Bobier, Jack Snell, Steve Hubbard, Joe Conner, and Harry Youngblood. Interment was in the Tuttle Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Merritt Funeral home of Bethany.
