Gertrude was the daughter of Samuel Clayton HUFFORD and Estella Gertrude HERR. She spent most of her lifetime in South Bend.
In 1948 Gertrude married Joseph A. ANDRIES, who preceded her in death in 1963. She is survived by a daughter, five grandchildren,; two great-grandsons, and a sister. Gertrude's son Joseph died in January 1998.
Gertrude retired from St. Matthews School after 20 years of teaching. She also worked part-time for Real Services.
Funeral services for Gertrude were held in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, South Bend. Her body was cremated.
