Anna R. Scrum, 72, of Chino Valley, died on May 25, 1998.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1925 in Geneva, Ohio, the daughter of Bert and Nellie Efaw Prunty.

She moved to Arizona 28 years ago. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church; a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by: her husband, Aubrey Scrum; four daughters, Linda Scrum of Flagstaff, Ruth Naliborski of Flagstaff, Lois March of Moore, Okla., and Rebecca Quijada of Salinas, Calif.; four sons, Cleon Sorell of Chino Valley, Warren Scrum of Las Vegas, Aubrey R. (Joe) Scrum of Clarkdale, and Fred Scrum of Chino Valley; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were this morning at American Lutheran Church in Prescott. Memory Chapel Mortuary in Prescott is handling the arrangements.

Anna Ruth Prunty's father was Bert Prunty. His wife was Nellie Efaw. They lived in WV and moved to OH about 1922. Their son Richard H. Prunty died there. He was six months old. Their ML is in WV Vital Records.

Bert Prunty's parents were Vincent Aaron and Martha L Phillips Prunty, who was called Kate. Their ML is on the WV Vital Records.

Vincent Aaron's parents were Nicholas and Rachel Underwood Prunty. Vincent's DC is on the WV Vital Records.

The family genealogy goes back to Ireland through Barnabus Prunty, who came to the America's in 1750 with his pregnant wife and many children.
