DAVIS PARRISH DIES AT HOME IN KIRKSVILLE
Will Be Buried at Hannah Cemetery in Sullivan County
Davis Parrish, 72, died at his home, 701 W. Martha, yesterday. Funeral services will be held in the Dee Riley Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Russell E. Otto, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Hannah cemetery in Sullivan County.
The son of Walter Scott and Kezia Parrish, Mr. Parrish was born in Knox County, Aug. 21, 1872, and was married to Lillie J. Bailey, Sept. 27, 1893.
Surviving are his wife, three children, Mrs. D. H. Rose, of Quincy, Ill.; Mrs. C. M. Bentley, of Kirksville, and C. H. Parrish, of Greencastle; two brothers, P. A. Parrish, of Sparland, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Ovid Jones, of Kansas City; nine grandchildren, two of whom are serving in the Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by two daughters and one son. Mr. Parrish lived most of his life in Kirksville.
The body will lie in state at the Dee Riley Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Frank Hanson, John Diehl, Willard Kelsey, Carl Rose, Aaron Love and Byron Rose.
