Eva P. Joachim, 79, of Little Hocking, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 6, 1929 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late William P. and Anna P. Dilly Vanscoy. She was a Christian, a loving mother, a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and she assisted with the operations of the family businesses for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Rodney H. Joachim and fiancé, Susan Abdella, of Little Hocking and Donald R. Joachim and wife, Diana, of Williamstown; two daughters, Brenda S. Cozart and husband, Jerry, of Linville, Va. And Tami L. VanCamp and husband, Detmer, of Follansbee, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Daniel Joachim, Tracy Hixon, Rodney Howard "JR" Joachim, Jeff Cozart, Derrik VanCamp, J. Greg Joachim, Wendy Cozart, Jessica VanCamp and Patsy Karr; five great-grandchildren and two more expected soon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Joachim, in 2005; one granddaughter, Tara Hart; four sisters-Helen, Rosie, Mildred and Kay, three brothers-Lawrence, Hugh and twin brother Earl.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Dr. Randall Kochersperger officiating. Concluding services will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
