Ginger, age 87, passed away on Tuesday at her home surrounded by her family. She was born the daughter of Emory F. & Clara A. (Fields) Adams. She graduated from the Colfax High School in 1939, then graduated from Normal Training in Ames.
On Jan. 6, 1947 she married Howard L. McCabe in Missouri. For thirty years they operated McCabe's Tavern in Stark, MN before retiring to Pine City in 1982. They moved to Holland, IA in 1994 where she has resided since. Howard passed away Dec. 23, 2007.
She enjoyed her family, playing the organ, singing, cooking, reading, and flowers.
Ginger is survived by two sons and five daughters, 28 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; her parents; four brothers Gerald, Mel, Lee, and Ivan; and three sisters Doris, Opal, and Lola.
Funeral Mass was held at the Assumption Catholic Church in Canton, Minnesota with Father Donald P. Schmitz officiating.
