My great grandfather was born in March 23,1860 at Cobb County, Georgia. He married Rebecca Moad at Arlington, Tarrant, Texas. They had five children, Arthur Earl "Jack", Elton, Katie Ethel Moore Bailey, Dixie Lee Moore Eldridge, and Edith Moore Jacobson. Jack died in his twenties (I think). Elton died from skin cancer around age thirty. William and Rebecca migrated to Flomot, Motley, Texas after the turn of the century. He was a farmer and helped my grandfather, Henry Jackson Bailey, get set up with farming. At one time, William, Rebecca, and their family lived real close to my grandparents, Katie Ethel, Henry Bailey and their family. My Uncle, Henry Seldon, when he was young, would go back and forth between houses. This is when both families lived in Flomot and their homes were side by side to each other. Grandpa Moore died December 29, 1953 at Adrian, Texas when he was staying with his daughter, my Aunt Edith Jacobson. During his grave side service, my parents had my sister and I stay in the car. They must have been holding my other sister because she was still a baby, almost one year. I wish that I could have heard and seen the service. I was seven years old then.
