Benge.∼Melba Jean Kelley, 74 of Angleton passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
She was born January 6, 1934 in Lipan, Texas to Frank Webb Tuggle and Crilla Perry Tuggle.
Melba enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing cards with her family and friends. Her family and grandchildren were the love of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Louis Kelley, parents, brother, Vaughn Tuggle and sister, Merle Martin and brother-in-law, Bunk.
She is survived by her loving sons; Mark Kelley and wife Susan of Old Ocean and David Kelley and wife Terry of Angleton, daughter, Diane Benge and husband Terry of Brazoria, grandchildren, Randy Kelley, Brian Kelley, Eddie Kelley, Cindy Kelley, Amanda Kelley and Kayla Kelley, great-grandchildren, Trey Kelley, Ashlyn Kelley and Brayden Kelley, special niece; Peggy Williams, special cousin; Francis Wise, special friends, Bobbie Nell Higgins and Margaret Ham and other relatives.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Wiley Funeral Chapel in Granbury, Texas with Rev. David Peacock officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan, Texas.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 20, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home of Brazoria.
Pallbearers will be Randy Kelley, Eddie Kelley, Brian Kelley and Adam Cloudt.
