Mildred Perkins (Claflin) Crossland was the daughter of Jason Lewis and Mamie Mildred (Perkins) Claflin. She was the 1st wife of Rev. Dr. Weldon Frank Crossland. They met when they were students at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Mildred received Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Expression degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Weldon and Mildred were married Lancaster Co., Nebraska July 11, 1916. Rev. Crossland died October 7, 1961.
