Born May 6, 1921 passed away November 8, 2008. Ned is survived by his wife, Mable Virginia Reynolds whom he married on June 21, 1946 in Pleasant Grove, Texas. He was a graduate of Mesquite High School and attended S.M.U. Ned was employed by Chrysler Corporation in various management positions throughout the United States for some 20 years. Following his retirement, Ned and Mable lived in the Denver Colorado area for approximately 30 years before returning to the Dallas in 2002. Ned was a pilot in the Navy during WWII. He is also survived by sisters, Frances Bell and Marion Strange and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son Tommy Barrett, parents Hughes and Hattie Barrett; sister, Eloise Bruton and brothers, James Barrett, Sidney Barrett and Billy Barrett. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Monday November 10, 2008 at Laurel Oak Funeral Home Chapel with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park
