Dollie Mae Garfield, 87 of Arkansas City died Thursday, August 20, 2009 in Wichita.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Interment will follow in the Geuda Springs Cemetery. Family and friends may view from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Dollie was born December 19, 1921 to Alford and Maddie Eddings in Ink, MO. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with her membership in Wellington and Arkansas City wards. She also served on various organizations for the handicapped.

Dollie is survived by her children, Darlene Swafford, Lloyd Sherbon, Mary Belton, Dollie Bostick, Penny Garfield, John Garfield, Wanda Perry and Nina Chennel all of Wichita; Renee Bryant of Salina, Loretta Burns of McCook, NE, Jackie Garfield of Tulsa, OK and Lois Long of Needles, CA; brother in laws and sisters, George Harris of Derby, Pearl and Albert Lawson, Edna and Eddie Hampton, Ruby and Ralph Jones and Iva S and Orville Shumake; 36 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Elmer and Jack; daughter, Roxanne Garfield; eights sisters and a brother.

A memorial has been established with Starky of Wichita. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
