Cobb Cargo Dead. Cobb Cargo, one among the oldest citizens of the county, died at the home of Mrs. Clem Cargo, on R.1, Blountsville, Tuesday of last week. His death was due to paralysis. Mr. Cargo was 81 years of age and spent practically all his life in the community where he died.He was born and reared on the farm where he died. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was regarded as one of the best citizens in the New Lebanon Community. The funeral services were held at New Lebanon and were conducted by Rev. M. T. Kirkland and Rev. J. M. Neal. The deceased is survived by four sons, W.A. Cargo, J.H. and A.C. Cargo who reside in Oklahoma, and J.L. Cargo who lives near Blue Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Foust and Mrs. Maggie Deal; one sister, Mrs. George Womack. {William Cobb Cargo, 15 December 1848 - 1 October 1929; buried in Blue Springs/New Lebanon Cemetery}
Son of Albert and Sarah Yielding Cargo. Married 1st Sarah Lugania Sexton and had four children: William Albert, Sarah Annie, James Harvey, Andrew Columbus, Jesse Lando, and Lela Luganey . Married 2nd Margaret Mattie Pitts and had at least 2 children: Mattie and Romania, and Luther Haden.
