David Carlton Hendley, age 73, of Fredericksburg died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 at his residence.
He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, a U. S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post #259, Clinton, MD. Mr. Hendley was retired from the U. S. Dept. of Defense.
Survivors include: his wife, Catherine D. Hendley; two daughters, Dorothy C. David and her husband, Victor of Columbia, MD, Denise M. Hendley of Cookeville, TN; three sons, David C. Hendley, Jr. and his wife, Pam of Monterey, TN, Dennis M. Hendley of Cookeville, TN, Dale Matthew Hendley of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth, Misty, Sean, Amanda and Ryan; one sister, Dorothy Corley of Brandywine, MD; one brother, Frank Hendley of Waldorf, MD; three nephews, Richard, John and Mark; one niece, Tracy.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 PM Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father David Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Sun., Dec. 19 with a Rosary at 8 PM at Covenant Funeral Service.
