Aged Pauline Resident Dies
PAULINE – John Lukas, 77, died Friday at his home here.
Mr. Lukas was born in Czechoslovakia and came to this country at the age of four. Until recently when he moved to Pauline, he lived on a farm east of Blue Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; five sons, Frank of Blue Hill, Adolph and Stein of Pauline, John Jr. of Mound City, Mo., and Joseph of Deshler; five daughters Mrs. Nettie Pruess of Brighton,. Mrs. Anna Cech of Bloomfield, Colo., Mrs. Albina Schmidt, of Blue Hill, Mrs. Rosie Baker of Pauline and Mrs. Emily Bennett of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Strobel of Red Cloud; 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Pauline, 9 a. m. Sunday, the Rev. John Fishel officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Creek cemetery six miles east of Blue Hill.
The body is at the Merten Brothers Mortuary in Blue Hill..
