Henry L. Losey, 80, a painter in this area all his life, died Friday, July 23, 1954 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Glendon (Mabel) Belile in Winthrop. He had been in ill health.

Last rites were held at the Beliel home and at St. Patrick's Church, Brasher Falls. The Rev. Noel V. Zimmerman, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.

Mr. Losey was born in 1874 in Moulinette, Ont. to Alvenise and Julia Prior Losey. He married Agnes Derochie in Huntingdon, Que., Feb. 7, 1897.

They moved to the United States in 1905 and Mr. Losey spent his remaining years here working as a painter. His wife died in 1949.

Surviving are three sons, Wilfred, Stephen and Wallace; seven daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Elizabeth) LaShomb, Mrs. Edward (Eva) Martin, Mrs. Leo (Agnes) Danboise, Mrs. Raymond (Esther) Roselle, Mrs. Miles (Mamie) Donie, Mrs. Glendon (Mabel) Belile and Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Colby.

Also surviving are 41 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
