Mrs. Fred (Burnette "Nettie" Hilton) McConnell, 98, of Cowden died 5:30 p.m. Sunday (July 31, 1988) in Shelby Memorial Home, Shelbyville.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mound Cemetery, Cowden, with visitation one hour before services in Lockart & Sons Funeral Home, Cowden.
Mrs. McConnell was born in Shelby County, daughter of Charles and Mary Hilton. She was a member of Cowden United Methodist Church. She married Fred "Bud" McConnell in 1910. He died in 1959.
Surviving are her son, Paul E. of Monticello; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded her in death.
