LeRoy Gerald "Bud" Anderson was born Saturday, July 28, 1923 in Midvale, Utah to Frederick A. and Fern York Anderson.

Due to his father's occupation as a barber, they lived in several places. He was a veteran of three wars, World War II, Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He served his country in the Navy until his retirement.

On December 10, 1952, he married Eileen Harward; solemnized on June 6, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on November 16, 1996.

Bud passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2000 at his home of natural causes. He resided at 3400 South Squirewood Drive (4710 West) in the Hunter area of west Valley City, Utah at the time of his death.

He was survived by his children, Catheryn (Larry) Hall, MeriAnne (Aaron) Skinner and Marc (Colleen) LaChance; sisters, Hazel Merrill, JoAnn (Fred) Symmes and MaryJane (Deloy) Harward; grandchildren, Teesha, Brandie, and Tiffany Skinner; Jordan, Katelin, and Eric Hall; great-grandchildren, Dominic Isaiah and Kelsie Eileen.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, October 25, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in the Granger West Fifth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 3300 South 4440 West in West Valley City. A viewing was held on Tuesday, October 24, 2000 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West) in Taylorsville, and at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m.
Bud was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services in the Sandy City Cemetery in Sandy.
