Bruce Elmer Bartz, 90, of Eugene and formerly of La Grande, died May 25. At his request there will be no public service. A private burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Daniels Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bartz was born Feb. 26, 1912, to William Elmer and Violet Morris Bartz in Boise. The grandson of Union County pioneers William Frank and Margaret Bartz, he worked for Weyerhaeuser until his retirement.
Survivors include his daughters, Anne Kristopt and Bette Hill, and other relatives.
