Ione W. Norway, 92, of Sheffield, died Saturday evening April 20, 2013 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury with her daughter Deana, granddaughter B.J., granddaughter Carrie and grandson Chris by her side.

She was born April 13, 1921 in Greensboro, VT the only daughter of Wesley and Ruth (Taylor) Withers. Ione graduated from Greensboro High School in 1939. On August 26, 1952 she married Milton Norway.

Ione was a good cook who had a large vegetable garden and canned her produce. She was also very talented with sewing, embroidery and knitting. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music.

Survivors include five children, Helen Johnson of Sheffield, Kathie DelMastro and husband Thomas of West Chesterfield, NH, Deana Goodell and husband Richard of Barre, Milton Norway of Sheffield and Carmel Stone and husband Tim of Essex; a special daughter in-law, Bonnie Boucher of Derby; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Milton Norway in 1973; a daughter, Elaine Masure; two sons, Richard Norway and Russell Norway; and three brothers, Raymond, Roland and Wayland Withers.
