Laura Smith Davidson

Laura Francis Smith, daughter of C. H. and Ellen M. Smith, was born at Fairfield, Nebraska, March 16, 1891, and passed away at her home in Fairbury Tuesday, Sept, 22, 1942. Her girlhood was spent in Edgar, Nebraska, where she has many friends.

On October 26, 1910, she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank L. Davidson of Webber, Kansas. To this union three daughters were born, Miss Doris Davidson, Mrs. Alice Smith and Mrs. Lois Mae Cole, all of Fairbury.

Mrs. Davidson united with the Presbyterian church (sic) at Edgar when a very young girl and remained faithful to her Lord. She was a loving and considerate mother, wife and neighbor.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Frank L. Davidson, three daughters, four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Stansbury of Superior, Mrs. Grace Stephens of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Mae Groves of Fremont and Mrs. Maude Ritterbush of Nelson and one brother, Loris H. Smith of La Crescenta, California.

Another sister, Mrs. Carrie Smith of Monte Vista, California, passed away seven weeks ago, on July 27, at Superior, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church (sic) at Fairbury conducted ny Rev. Merle Stevenson. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery (sic) in Superior, Nebraska
