Her early education was received in the Eloy, Arizona schools later earning an Associate Degree in Science and Nursing from Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa. Linda was also a traveling contract nurse and had been on assignment in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1999 she became a clinical nurse where she worked until ill health forced her retirement. Linda was married to Charles Wilbur Haight on August 15, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was then married to Marvin Earl Cooper on February 14, 2008. Next to spending time with her granddaughter, the joy of Linda's life was her work and she was known for her great concern and care toward others. Linda never met a stranger and always enjoyed the company of others. Her other enjoyments included her family, especially her granddaughter Jaycee, shopping at flea markets, her flower gardening, gospel music and even dancing. She is survived by her husband, Marvin, of the home; three children, Charles David Haight, Mesa, Arizona, Tonja Diane Haight and Teresa Renee Gadhei, both of Ponca City; one granddaughter, Jaycee Kathleen Haight of Ponca City; four brothers, Couie Eugene Scott, Garber, Oklahoma, Timothy Blaine McDonald, Hillsdale, Oklahoma, Kenneth Leon Townsend, Piedmont, Missouri, and Patrick Scott of Phoenix, Arizona; many other extended family and friends.
