"Mrs. Elizabeth (Eyler) Sheesley
A complication of diseases caused the death of Mrs. Elizabeth (Eyler) Sheesley, widow of J. J. Sheesley , at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dora Meade, of Brush valley, on July 2. Mrs. Sheesley was born near Pine Grove Church, this county on June 21, 1863. Her husband passed away on December 8, 1893. Surviving are the following children: Robert, of Hamilton; Mrs. Dora Meade, of Brush Valley; Paul Sheesley, of Knox; Mrs. Mary Thomas, of Punxsutawney, and Rev. Joseph Sheesley, of Elliotsville. Two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Gahagan and Mrs. Mary Machel reside in Punxsutawney. Burial was made in the Cyphert [sic-Syphrit ] cemetery, near Hamilton [sic ], on Sunday. "
