Joseph M. Zakrevsky, of Chenango Bridge, loving husband of Dorothy and devoted father of Jody and Margaret Susan, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital June 27, 1982. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Michele; his brother Lawrence. He was predeceased by his parents, the Rev. Laurence Zakrevsky and Margaret Pierce Zakrevsky. He was the grandson of General Joseph Zakrevsky of the Imperial Russian Army and Countess Victoria Potocka Zakrevsky. He was a former college professor and writer. He was a graduate of St. Precopious College and Catholic University of Washington, D.C. He organized and served as chairman of Boy Scout Troop 253 of Central Islip, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Wm. R. Chase & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, and 10 a.m. from the Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
