Mrs. Ernestine Genevieve McKinney, 88, of Cabool, Missouri, and formerly of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Kabul Nursing Home.

She was born on November 2, 1920 in Mtn. Grove, one of 11 children of Fred L. and Leana L. (Franklin) Melton.

Ernestine attended Gravel Point School near Mtn. Grove.

She was united in marriage to Claude McKinney on May 5, 1939, and to this union two children were born, Dwaine and Sharon.

She is survived by her children, Dwaine McKinney and wife Linda of Cabool and Sharon Matherly and husband Tim of Durango, Colorado; four grandsons, Greg and Roger Matherly and Mark and Brian McKinney; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Ozark Cemetery near Houston, Missouri, with Bro. David Purichia officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
